August 2010
For the month of August, you can see a show of my work at the Front Porch Cafe in Nags Head, NC. They are located in the Shoppes at 10.5, near Kelly's Restaurant. These figurative pieces look pretty nice in the coffee shop. Rack back with a mocha latte and enjoy!
Summer 2010
After a busy winter painting, several of my newest works are on display at Greenleaf Gallery in Duck, NC. I've posted a few images of them here, but it's worth the time to visit Greenleaf itself - truly a spectacular gallery!

Fall 2009
There's lots going on in September and October! The Pocosin Arts annual fund raiser, Steamed Blue to Red Hot, Lively! happens September 19th. Come out and bid high for some spectacular artwork. I've got my large painting, "Kelp Forest II" up for bid! Also, on October 3rd and 4th, the Dare County Arts Council hosts their annual fund raiser, Artrageous Art Extravaganza. I will have one of my paintings up for bid in there, too. There is also the annual Landmark Show, hosted by Arts of the Albemarle, which is currently on exhibition in Elizabeth City, NC. You'll find two of my watercolors there.
Summer 2009
Summer has been busy here on the Outer Banks, with lots of opportunities for both artists and art lovers abounding. In June, I accepted a position with the Dare County Arts Council as their Gallery Director and am thoroughly enjoying meeting and working with so many of the talented artists in our area. Stop in to our gallery at 104 Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo to see what's new!
Spring 2009
In the months since graduation, I've been busily organizing a studio in my home here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This has given me the opportunity to cull the backlog of paintings and drawings created during my studies at ECU, and to select a few for entering in the local art shows. So far this year, my work has appeared in the Frank Stick Memorial Art Show at Glen Eure's Ghost Fleet Gallery, and the Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show at Festival Park in Manteo. My work can also be seen at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery, located at 104 Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo, NC. Stop in to see not only my paintings, but a host of work by other talented artists from the area. With pieces on a three-month rotating schedule, there is always something new to see!

Also, Pocosin Arts in Columbia, NC is gearing up to host their annual arts retreat, Cabin Fever Reliever IX, February 19-22, 2009. The instructors this year include Marlene True (metals), Mike Dunn and Juan Pons (photography), Dina Wilde-Ramsing (handbuilding clay), Kelly Adams (drawing), Bob Ebendorf (mixed media), Suze Lindsay (wheel-throwing clay). Immerse yourself in art, or give a spot at the retreat as the perfect gift. Either way, you win.

Happy holidays!

September 2008
Pocosin Arts Folk School
held their annual fund raiser, Steamed Blue to Red Hot -- Lively!, on 20 September. I donated my acrylic painting, Big Jimmy, which turned out to be the lead item in the live auction. When the hammer fell, and after much bidding and crab-mallet banging, the painting brought $1,300. What a way to start an auction! Thanks to everyone who came out to support Pocosin Arts, and thanks especially to those who were bidding on my painting. Hope to see everyone at the crab feast next year -- the third week in September, under the tent in Columbia, NC, as always.

ECU Painting Guild
is hosting a juried show at the Mendenhall Student Center Art Gallery from 9 September through 29 September. If you're in Greenville, NC stop by to see the show, including three of my watercolor paintings.
