Fay Davis Edwards is a studio artist living and working on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. For over twenty years, she has focused her study on painting and drawing, with an emphasis on acrylic and watercolor. Fay earned her BFA from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where her concentration centered on painting imagery of unusual body styles, juxtaposing harsh realities with the soft, delicate use of watercolor.
A native of Roanoke Island, Fay also explores imagery of the rural coastal south in many of her paintings. Drawing inspiration from both the architecture of the area and the abundance of colorful characters and wildlife that live there, she hopes to preserve the coastal lifestyle as she knew it for others to enjoy.
Her work is currently displayed at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery in Manteo, NC, at Greenleaf Gallery in Duck, NC, and by appointment at her home studio. Please contact the artist if you would like more information or prices on any of her work.
